Fire up those printers and start saving!  Today Dillon’s has Cheerios and Total cereals for $1.97 a box.  Print off several of the $.55/1 Cheerios coupons and get your boxes for $.97 each.  Total has $.75/1 at coupons.com.  Suddenly Salad is $.99 a box and you can find coupons for $.40 off at several sites.  (coupons.com, pillsbury.com and bettycrocker.com) That’s $.19 a box!  You can still get Kellogg’s cereals for $1.47 a box with $1/2 from coupons.com.  While you’re there be sure to grab a gallon of chocolate milk for only $1.88!!!

Sorry,  I haven’t posted in a while.  I just got the grandsons in preschool, and didn’t realize what an adjustment getting back to a schedule would be.  Now that I have things in a groove, I can get back to deal searching!

I was contacted by someone at the Beef Council, who advised that Dillons would be working with them to do some promotions on beef, starting this week.  I’m guessing the Sterling Silver Tri Tips might be part of that promotion.  It’s $4.99 lb, and you get free bacon.  I haven’t gone in to see what sizes it’s sold in.  I’m also told that “At your local Dillons, you can also pick up a Celebrate Your Family recipe booklet with great beef recipes.”  So take a look around and see if you can spot one!

Dillons is into week two of it’s most resent MEGA Sale.

I haven’t been printing off very many coupons, but there are a  lot of good ones on the coupon sites.  They seem to be reloading quite frequently!  Be sure to check them often!

I must share two non coupon related things with you.  I have made two purchases recently that I’m just thrilled with.  First is a bread machine and the second is a FoodSaver.  I love both.  I have mastered french bread quite nicely, and am still trying to get the perfect wheat bread loaf (for sandwiches), and with my FoodSaver I packaged about 10 quart sized bags of tomatoes from my garden and put them in the freezer!

If you mix your own bread dough from scratch using the recipes in the booklet, you can make about 4-6 loaves from a bag of flour for less than $1.00 each.  That’s fresh from you bread maker or oven bread, that has no added ingredients.  My family loves it just as much as I do.

The Walmart at 21st and Maize had a Sunbeam breadmaker on clearance for $51 when I was there on Saturday.

Thanks for letting me share.  And if you have questions about either of these items, feel free to ask!

With printable coupons and the Mega Event,  you could save big bucks this week.  This is a great time to stock up on items you know you’re going to need.  You must buy 10 items for the $5 in savings to kick in, but if you have hung onto some of the printable coupons that were available, you shouldn’t have any trouble.  Here’s my list…(all prices are after Mega Event savings minus the coupon)

Hamburger Helper meals $.99-$.75/3 = $.65 each

General Mills Cereal(Cheerios shown) $1.99-$.55=$.99 each

Pillsbury Cresent Rolls $.99-$40/2=$.59 each

Pillsbury Grands $.99-$1/2=$.49 each

Pillsbury Sweet Rolls $.99-$.40/2 =$.59 each

Nature Valley Granola Bars $2.49-$.40=1.69 each

Toaster Strudels $1.99-$.55/2=$1.49 each

Pizza Rolls $2.69-$.55/2=$2.14 each

Old El Paso Products $.99-$.60/2=$.49 each

You may have coupons for some of the other items too.  Most of these coupons were still available when I checked yesterday, if you haven’t printed you limit.  Final prices shown are after the coupons were doubled.  And, don’t forget to check out Shortcuts and Cellfire to add even more savings to you grocery receipt!  Make you list and save some money!

You can visit my website for links to all the coupon sites!

Walgreens has Bic round pens for $.50 this week, so you can use your coupons there for free pens too!

Have you printed your limit on the Bic Stationary coupons at coupons.com?  If not, then get busy printing before they’re all gone.  Then, take those coupons to Dillons and get the Bic Crystal pens (on sale for $.50) for Free.  Or, take those same coupons to Walmart (on sale for $.45) and get them for Free.  I chose to get my pens at Dillons, along with other items I needed, so I could add to my FuelSaver Rewards.

The sale is advertised at Dillons this week, but the pens could possibly only be on sale at New Market Square.  I don’t remember seeing them in the latest Walmart ad, and as you may soon discover, they don’t honor their own prices at other area stores, or online!

Leeker’s Family Foods
Your Hometown Grocery Store

While shopping for school supplies and groceries this weekend, I found a remarkable sale on Capri Sun’s at the Walmart in New Market Square.  They were only $1 a box!  So today I went back and bought some more to stock in my “store room” downstairs.  I shared this fabulous sale with my niece Karen.  So she went to the Walmart on West Kellogg to pick some up for her kids, but when she got there she discovered they were $1.97 each.  That’s Walmarts regular price for Capri Suns.  She called me to verify which store I bought them at.  I told her to tell the cashier she wanted to price match them to the New Market Square Walmart.  They told her they don’t price match their other stores, because they’re not in competition with them.  WHAT?  Then why do you have different prices for your products at a store that is in the same general vicinity?

So, now to get the better price she has to drive to 21 & Maize Rd. and buy the Capri Suns at that location.

I can understand that prices may not be the same at Walmarts in two different cities, but not in the same city.  There are at least 6 different Walmarts in the Wichita area.  I’m not counting Derby or Augusta, just Wichita proper.  And they’re telling the public that prices may vary as much as a dollar, from one store to the other?  Always the best prices?  Guess not.

If you’re hunting the bargains this week, be sure to go to my website and check the ads for Whites’, Leekers, and Homeland before heading out.  Whites’ and Leekers are both have great 10 for $10 sales on General Mills products, like Hamburger Helper, cake mixes, muffin mixes, brownies, and other items to stock up on before school gets into full swing.  Whites also has Blue Bunny Ice Cream for $2.88 and with this coupon you can save $1.  Be sure to read that you can only choose one coupon to print.

And although you may not want to drive to these store, you can always print the ad and take it to Walmart for price matching.  Just keep in mind, if you are using coupons, (and most of the items I mentioned have printable coupons right now) Walmart will only give you actual face value, while Whites’, Leekers, and Homeland all offer double coupons.

Happy Saving!
